Young Volunteers Strovolos Municipality Choir–
“Singing for a Cause”
Singing together. Sharing through music. Making a difference.
The Young Volunteers Strovolos Municipality Choir – “Singing for a Cause” brings together children and young people aged 6 to 18 who share a love for singing, music, creativity, and giving back to the community.
The Choir was founded with a meaningful vision: to nurture musical development, teamwork, creativity, and social awareness through the joy of choral singing. At the heart of its mission is the belief that music can make a positive difference. Proceeds raised through the Choir’s performances are donated in support of charitable causes and people in need, giving every young member the opportunity to sing not only for the joy of music, but also for a purpose.
Throughout its journey, the Choir has collaborated with distinguished musicians and artists from Cyprus, Greece, and abroad, and has performed at concerts, theatres, festivals, cultural events, and special productions alongside bands and orchestras.
Its repertoire includes songs written exclusively for the Choir, alongside a diverse selection of other works. The Choir has already completed three recording projects and is currently preparing its fourth, featuring original songs by musicians Cleopatra Charalambous and Angelos Doukas, together with the participation of acclaimed artists from Cyprus and abroad.
Being part of the Choir offers children much more than weekly rehearsals. Members have the opportunity to experience professional studio recordings, take part in music videos, meet and collaborate with musicians and artists, and perform in concerts, festivals, and special events. Above all, they become part of a musical family where friendship, teamwork, expression, and generosity come together.
If you are between 6 and 18 years old and love to sing, your voice can be part of something meaningful. Join us and sing for a better world — a world made for every child.
