Meet the Team

  • Cleopatra Charalambous

    FOUNDER

    Cleopatra is a music educator, creator, cultural producer and organizer with an active presence in the Cypriot music scene and a particular dedication to music education, the promotion of the accordion, and the development of cultural initiatives that connect music, education and community.

    She is the driving force behind the Cyprus Accordion Festival, as well as behind Music Moments Culture, the non-profit cultural organization that initiates and develops the Festival alongside a wider range of cultural activities, projects and initiatives. Through these platforms, she actively contributes to creating opportunities for artistic expression, education, collaboration and cultural exchange, bringing together musicians, educators, artists and communities.

    Born in Nicosia, Cleopatra studied Music at the European University of Cyprus, graduating in 2010. She is an Approved Kindermusik Educator by Kindermusik International (USA) and a certified Manadoob America instructor.

    Since 2010, she has been working as a piano, music theory, music preparation and Kindermusik teacher, developing a dynamic pedagogical approach centred on experiential learning, creativity and interaction.

    In 2015, together with musician Angelos Doukas, she co-founded Music Moments Studio, a school of music and creative arts. Through the Studio, they also established the first Accordion Band in Cyprus.

    Cleopatra is also the author of the children’s book “Deon the Accordion” (“Ντεόν το Ακορντεόν”), a project that creatively brings together storytelling, music and the world of the accordion.

    Her work also extends to music and cultural productions, from the initial concept and creative development through to their organization and implementation. She has designed and developed educational music workshops and programmes for schools, including initiatives approved by the Cyprus Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth, as well as independent educational workshops and private cultural activities. These projects aim to make music accessible, interactive and meaningful while encouraging creativity, participation and experiential learning.

    She is also the director of the Young Volunteers Strovolos Municipality Choir, coordinating its musical, educational and creative activities and introducing children directly to the values and experience of volunteering, social responsibility and community engagement.

    At the heart of Cleopatra’s work is a commitment to bringing together music education, cultural production, artistic development and community engagement. Through Music Moments Studio and Music Moments Culture, she continues to create opportunities for learning, artistic expression, collaboration and cultural exchange, while building bridges between Cyprus and the wider international cultural community, where music can connect people of different ages, cultures and backgrounds.

  • Angelos Doukas

    CO-FOUNDER

    Angelos is a professional pianist, accordionist, composer, educator and cultural organizer based in Cyprus. Born in Athens in 1986 and raised in Corfu, he moved to Cyprus at the age of 12, where he continues to live and work. He began his musical studies in Greece and completed them in Cyprus.

    He is the co-founder of Music Moments Studio and Music Moments Culture, actively contributing to the development of music education and cultural initiatives in Cyprus. He was also an integral part of the Cyprus Accordion Festival from its very beginning, serving as a key member of its organizing team.

    Since the establishment of Music Moments Studio in 2015, he has been a driving and pioneering force behind the creation and development of various Accordion Bands — ensembles introduced for the first time in Cyprus through the school. Through this work, he has played a key role in bringing accordion players together, encouraging ensemble performance and creating new opportunities for the instrument within the contemporary Cypriot music scene.

    As an educator, Angelos teaches modern piano and accordion, combining his experience as a performing musician with a contemporary and creative approach to music education.

    Alongside his educational and cultural work, he is an active performer and composer, writing and performing his own music. He composed the music for the children’s story “Deon the Accordion” (“Ντεόν το Ακορντεόν”) and has also composed the music for numerous songs for the Young Volunteers Strovolos Municipality Choir.

    As a member of TriCoolOre, he has released two albums of original compositions: “Oregano Infused” (April 2015) and “World without Words” (June 2017).

    Throughout his musical career, he has collaborated with renowned musicians including Pantelis Stoikos, Dimitris Lappas, Takis Barberis and Katerina Mina. His performances have taken him to music stages and festivals across Cyprus, Greece, the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria and Slovakia, both as a member of TriCoolOre and as an independent artist.

    Through his work as a musician, composer, educator and cultural organizer, Angelos continues to explore new ways of bringing the accordion into contemporary musical contexts, while fostering collaboration, creativity and collective music-making.

  • Polyxenie Savva

    FOUNDER OF MINI STUDIO

    Polyxeni Savva is an actress and theatre educator, and the founder of Mini Studio. She is a graduate of the Drama School of the National Theatre of Greece and the Department of Social Anthropology at Panteion University in Athens.

    As an actress, she has collaborated with state theatres in both Cyprus and Greece, as well as with independent theatre companies. Her work extends to television, with collaborations with Alpha Cyprus, Alpha Greece and ANT1, while she has also participated in film productions in Cyprus and Greece.

    Alongside her acting career, Polyxeni has developed a strong presence in theatre education, collaborating with Satiriko Theatre, theatre groups in Greece and Theatro Lexi.

    In 2020, she founded Mini Studio, creating together with her team a space where freedom, imagination and play become the main tools for discovering the magical world of theatre. Through creative exploration, children are encouraged to express themselves, experiment, collaborate and discover their own unique relationship with theatre.

    Since September 2023, Mini Studio Theatre Workshop has been part of the artistic family of music and creative arts school, Music Moments Studio.

  • Dimitra Papakyprianou

    VOCAL & MUSIC INSTRUCTOR

    Dimitra Papakyprianou is a passionate musician, vocalist, performer, and music educator with a diverse musical background. She is a graduate of European University Cyprus.

    Her musical journey began at the age of eight and has since developed across a wide range of genres, including classical, ethnic, electronic, metal, rock, and Greek music. Her versatility and curiosity continue to shape her approach both as a performer and as an educator.

    Dimitra holds advanced qualifications in music theory, including Special Harmony, as well as Grade 8 in both Drums and Piano. She has further enriched her musical training through masterclasses with distinguished professionals, including a répétiteur from Vienna and the Director of the Jerusalem Opera.

    Alongside her performance work, Dimitra has several years of experience in early childhood music education, using movement, creative expression, improvisation, and musical exploration to introduce young students to the world of music. Her teaching philosophy focuses on encouraging creativity, curiosity, confidence, and a genuine love for learning.

    She also actively participates in music festivals both as a performer and educator, continuously seeking new opportunities to develop her artistry and contribute to the wider musical community.

    Since 2025, Dimitra has been a valued member of the Music Moments Studio family.

  • Giorgos Kylilis

    DRUM INSTRUCTOR

    Giorgos Kylilis is a dedicated drummer and music educator with a strong background in performance across a wide range of musical styles.

    He began his music studies in 2013 and graduated from European University Cyprus in 2017, specializing in drum performance, with a particular focus on jazz as well as a variety of contemporary musical styles.

    During his studies, Giorgos took part in numerous university ensembles across different genres, gaining valuable experience in both individual and group performance. He also attended the Cyprus Jazz Workshops in 2016 and 2017, where he performed in small jazz combos and larger jazz ensembles, further developing his skills in improvisation and ensemble playing.

    Since 2018, Giorgos has been teaching drums at various music schools, sharing his knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm for music with students of different ages and levels.

    Since 2024, Giorgos has been a valued member of the Music Moments Studio family.

  • Stella Kouloukousa

    DRUM INSTRUCTOR

    Stella Kouloukousa is a professional drummer, session musician, and music educator with extensive experience in live performance, musical collaborations, and contemporary music practices.

    She began studying drums at the age of 14 and has been professionally active as a session drummer since 2011, performing at numerous live music venues and festivals in Athens. Throughout her career, she has worked both as a session musician and as a member of various musical ensembles, contributing to a wide range of performances and productions in Greece and Cyprus.

    In 2018, Stella graduated from the Department of Music at the University of Nicosia. Continuing her academic and artistic development, she completed her Master’s Degree in Music Technology and Contemporary Practices at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2023.

    Her diverse performance background has allowed her to explore a broad spectrum of musical genres, including rock, pop, swing jazz, ethnic jazz, and traditional Greek music. This versatility has shaped her adaptable and creative approach to both performance and music education.

    As an educator, Stella combines professional performance experience with contemporary musical knowledge, encouraging students to develop solid technique, musicality, creativity, and confidence behind the drum kit.

    In 2026, Stella joined the Music Moments Studio family.

  • Kikis Apostolou

    ELECTRIC & ACOUSTIC GUITAR INSTRUCTOR

    Kikis Apostolou has over 40 years of experience as a guitarist and more than 25 years of experience as a guitar instructor. He began playing guitar at the age of 15, initially performing with his first hard rock band, before going on to build a successful career as a musician through live performances and recording projects.

    In 1997, he moved to Athens, where he studied Electric Guitar at the Nakas Conservatory, following a curriculum developed in collaboration with Berklee College of Music in Boston.

    During this time, he also collaborated with the classical music ensemble of pianist Savvas Savva and singer Lia Vissi.

    In 2018, he released his first solo album and is currently working on his second personal record.

    Since 2001, he has been teaching Electric and Acoustic Guitar at music schools, successfully preparing students for internationally recognized examinations, including Guildhall, Trinity Guildhall, and Rockschool.

    Kikis has been part of the Music Moments Studio family since 2015.

    Drawing on his extensive experience both as an educator and performing musician, Kikis combines strong technical training with a genuine passion for music, inspiring his students to develop their skills, confidence, and love for the guitar.

  • Kyriacos Hadjittofis

    GUITAR & BASS INSTRUCTOR

    Kyriacos Hadjittofis is a Cypriot guitarist, composer, and music educator with extensive experience in performance, composition, and music education. He studied music in New York, completing his undergraduate studies at the Aaron Copland School of Music, followed by postgraduate studies in Composition at Hunter College (CUNY).

    Since 2011, he has been teaching at European University Cyprus, where his work includes Electric Guitar, Electric Bass, and Music Ensembles. He is also the founder and president of KTH Music Research, where he teaches both Classical and Electric Guitar.

    Throughout his career, Kyriacos has been involved in numerous recordings, music productions, and live performances, collaborating with a wide range of artists and musical ensembles in Cyprus and abroad. His musical background spans a diverse range of genres, from rock, blues, and funk to classical and jazz, reflecting his versatility as both a performer and composer.

    Combining years of professional performance with his experience as an educator, Kyriacos brings a well-rounded and inspiring approach to guitar teaching. His aim is to help students develop strong technical foundations, musical expression, creativity, and a deeper understanding and appreciation of music.

    In 2026, Kyriacos joined the Music Moments Studio family as one of our guitar instructors.

  • Kyriakos Charalambous

    GUITAR INSTRUCTOR

    Kyriakos Charalambous is a guitarist, performer, and music educator with a strong passion for contemporary music, creativity, and guitar education. He is currently studying Jazz Music at the University of Nicosia, further developing his knowledge of performance, improvisation, harmony, and contemporary musical practices.

    With five years of experience in guitar teaching, Kyriakos works with students of different ages and levels, adapting his lessons to each student’s individual musical interests, abilities, and goals. His main musical influences are rooted in rock, blues, and pop, while his studies and performance experience have allowed him to explore a broader range of styles and approaches to the guitar.

    As an active musician, Kyriakos has participated in a variety of musical projects covering different genres and creative directions. He is a member of the band Ars Notoria, while also developing his own personal project, Nilium, through which he explores his individual musical identity and creativity. His involvement in different projects gives him valuable experience both as a performer and as a collaborative musician.

    As an educator, Kyriakos believes that learning an instrument should be both inspiring and enjoyable. His teaching approach combines essential guitar technique with creativity, musical expression, improvisation, and practical musicianship. He encourages students to explore the music they love while gradually building a strong technical and musical foundation.

    His goal is to create lessons that are engaging, creative, and tailored to each individual student, helping them develop confidence, discover their own musical voice, and enjoy every stage of their progress as guitarists.

    In 2025, Kyriakos joined the Music Moments Studio family as one of our Guitar Instructors.

  • Nikos Pantechis

    ACCORDION INSTRUCTOR

    Nikos Pantechis is a professional accordionist and music educator based in Cyprus. Born in Limassol in and he began his musical journey in 2007, studying keyboard with Giorgos Anastasiou.

    In 2011, he continued his musical training in accordion and piano under Loukia Petridi, while also studying harmony with Stavros Xinaridis. From 2012 to 2014, he attended the Limassol Music Lyceum, where accordion was his principal instrument, studying under Nenad Bogdanovic.

    Nikos was also a member of the Cyprus Military Band, further enriching his experience as a performing musician.

    In 2022, he graduated from the Department of Music Science and Art at the University of Macedonia, specializing in Concert Accordion under Assistant Professor Konstantinos Raptis. His academic and performance training provided him with a strong foundation in both the technical and expressive aspects of the instrument.

    Since returning to Cyprus in 2022, Nikos has been actively involved in the local music scene, performing at concerts, cultural events, and various musical productions. Alongside his performance career, he is dedicated to music education and teaches accordion at the Music Gymnasiums and Music Lyceums of Cyprus, sharing his knowledge and passion for the instrument with the next generation of musicians.

    Nikos joined the Music Moments Studio family in 2023, bringing with him his expertise, professionalism, and love for the accordion.

  • Giorgos Paottos

    BOUZOUKI & BAGLAMAS INSTRUCTOR

    Giorgos Paottos is a Cypriot bouzouki player, performer, and music educator, with a strong background in Greek traditional, rebetiko, and laïko music.

    Born in Nicosia in 1992, Giorgos began studying the four-string bouzouki at the age of six at the Hellenic Conservatory of Cyprus, where he successfully completed his studies, graduating with Distinction and Highest Honours.

    In 2010, he participated in a televised performance competition broadcast by CyBC (RIK), where he was awarded first place in the musical instrument category. Continuing to develop his artistry and technique, he attended specialised seminars and lessons with renowned bouzouki virtuosos in Greece, further enriching his knowledge and understanding of the instrument.

    Giorgos has been actively involved in the Cypriot music scene, performing with various ensembles and taking part in festivals, concerts, cultural events, and special musical tributes dedicated to some of the most influential figures of rebetiko and laïko music. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with established musicians in Cyprus, building extensive experience both as a soloist and ensemble performer.

    As an educator, Giorgos combines strong technical knowledge with authentic performance experience, encouraging his students to develop not only their instrumental skills but also a deeper understanding and appreciation of the rich tradition and distinctive character of the bouzouki.

    In 2021, Giorgos joined the Music Moments Studio family as our Bouzouki and Baglamas Instructor.

  • Christoforos Fterakides

    VIOLIN INSTRUCTOR

    Christoforos Fterakidis is a Cypriot violinist, performer, and music educator from Nicosia, with extensive experience in classical music, orchestral performance, chamber music, and music education.

    Christoforos developed a passion for music from a very young age. He began studying the violin at the age of five at the National Conservatory of Cyprus, where he successfully progressed through all levels of both practical and theoretical music studies. His musical training also included examinations and qualifications through the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) in the United Kingdom.

    During his early musical development, Christoforos became an active member of the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra, where he gained valuable orchestral experience and served as Leader of the Second Violins. He also participated in numerous musical events organised by the Ministry of Education and Culture, while performing with various chamber music ensembles.

    Following the completion of his military service, Christoforos continued his academic studies at the University of Nicosia, where he successfully completed his degree with a focus on Music Education and Performance. His studies further strengthened his skills as both a performer and an educator, allowing him to combine his passion for the violin with a dedicated approach to teaching.

    Throughout his musical career, Christoforos has performed in concerts and musical events both in Cyprus and internationally, with appearances in countries including Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, and Greece. These experiences have contributed to his broad musical perspective and his understanding of ensemble and orchestral performance.

    Alongside his performing career, Christoforos has built extensive experience as a Violin and Music Theory Instructor. His teaching approach combines strong technical foundations with musical expression, interpretation, and confidence, encouraging each student to develop their individual musical abilities and a genuine appreciation for music.

    In 2023, Christoforos joined the Music Moments Studio family as our Violin Instructor.
